Mr. Moose's Vintage Bikes and Tale of Yore

There is something about an older mountain bike that makes some peope pretty excited.  I'm one of those people.  I'll go to a bike shop and spend more time looking at the two fifteen-old bikes the owner has in the back than I will in the rest of the shop filled with current models.  These bikes are from what some call the 'golden age' of mountain bikes.  To me, those days are much more exciting.  No doubt, the bikes today are better, but they aren't as classy or classic.

I've started riding mountain bikes in 1983 and have ridden and raced enthusiastically since then.  A few years ago, I started to pick up an older bike or two and from there I just kept going.  Klein and American Bicycle are my two favorite brands and those are the bikes highlighted here, ranging from the years 1989-1996.  So, look on for great vintage mountain bikes and a few stories from back in the day. Tales of Yore if you may...
